Chances are, you’ll be arriving in Morocco’s biggest city, Casablanca. After a long flight, we recommend spending your first night in the city to rest and recuperate before starting your Morocco honeymoon adventure.

There are plenty of luxurious hotels in Casablanca to choose from, but our top pick is the magnificent Four Seasons Casablanca. This five-star hotel offers unrivaled views of the city skyline and the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world.

With its glamorous setting and sumptuous rooms, and probably the best Moroccan mint tea in the city, the Four Seasons in Casablanca is the perfect place to start your Morocco honeymoon in style!

After a night in Casablanca, it’s time to head to Morocco’s most popular city, Marrakech. This vibrant and colorful city is a feast for the senses, with its bustling markets, mesmerizing snake charmers, and exotic spices. Marrakech is the perfect place to get a taste of Morocco’s rich culture and history.

There’s plenty to see and do in Marrakech, but some of the highlights include exploring the beautiful Majorelle Gardens, bargaining for souvenirs at the Jemaa el-Fnaa, and soaking in a traditional hammam.

When it comes to accommodation, there’s no shortage of luxury hotels in Marrakech. But for a truly romantic experience, we recommend staying at the Royal Mansour Marrakech. This beautiful 5 star riad (traditional Moroccan house) is located in the heart of the Medina (old city), and offers a tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

With its luxurious rooms and suites, gorgeous gardens, and world-class spa, the Royal Mansour Marrakech is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate on your Morocco honeymoon.

Accommodation alternative: Riad l’Oiseau du Paradis, Marrakech

After a few days in Marrakech, it’s time to head out into the Sahara Desert for some unforgettable Morocco desert adventures! I would say your honeymoon would not be complete without this Morocco exclusive experience.

There are plenty of ways to explore the Sahara, but one of the most popular is to take a Morocco desert tour from Marrakech. These tours typically last for three or four days, and include camel trekking, sandboarding, stargazing, and overnight stays in a luxury desert camp.

There are many different Morocco desert tours to choose from, but our top pick is the Morocco Luxury Desert Tour. This tour includes all of the highlights we mentioned above, plus a few extra perks like a private Morocco desert guide and a delicious Moroccan feast cooked by a local Berber family.

If you’re looking for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience, the Morocco Luxury Desert Tour is the perfect way to explore the Sahara on your honeymoon!

Once your Morocco desert adventure os over, it’s time to head to the city of Fez. This ancient city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is home to Morocco’s oldest university, the University of Al-Qarawiyyin. Fez is also renowned for its beautiful architecture, stunning mosques, and vibrant markets.

When it comes to choosing where to stay in Fez, we can’t recommend Riad Maison Bleue enough. This Riad was once the home of a Moroccan philosopher, and has been beautifully converted into a luxury hotel.

For an exclusive Moroccan experience, be sure to have book a Hammam spa at the Riad, with traditional treatments like a black soap massage and rhassoul clay body wrap. And if Moroccan cuisine is on your radar, the Riad’s restaurant serves up some of the best food in Fez!

Now, it’s time to head to the coastal town of Essaouira for some relaxation by the sea. This small town is located on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, a short drive from Marrakech and is known for its laid back atmosphere and beautiful beaches.

Stroll through the atmospheric blueish medina (old city), watch the windsurfers and kitesurfer riding the waves of the Atlantic, and enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many beachside restaurants.

And an epic stay in Essaouira, be sure to book a room at the Hôtel Le Médina Essaouira Thalassa sea & spa. This gorgeous hotel is located right in front of the beach and just a short walk from the Medina.

With its beautiful rooms and suites, delicious seafood restaurant, and world-class spa, the Hôtel Le Médina is the perfect place to unwind on your Morocco honeymoon.

After a few days of relaxation in Essaouira, it’s time to head back to Marrakech for one last night in Morocco.

End your Morocco honeymoon in style by spending your last night at the luxurious La Sultana Marrakech. This gorgeous riad is located in the heart of the Medina, just a few minutes’ walk from the Jemaa el-Fnaa.

With its beautiful suites, rooftop terrace with views of the Medina, and delicious Moroccan restaurant, the La Sultana is the perfect place to end your Morocco honeymoon in style!

The best time to honeymoon in Morocco is during the spring or fall months. These are the shoulder seasons, when temperatures are mild and there are fewer crowds.

Keep in mind that Morocco is a Muslim country, so during the holy month of Ramadan (2023 Ramadan: 22March to 20 April), many restaurants and cafes will be closed during the day.

We do not advice honeymooning Morocco during this time, as it can make it difficult to find places to eat and drink. If you do decide to honeymoon in Morocco during Ramadan, be sure to bring snacks and drinks with you to keep yourself fueled during the day.

Morocco honeymooning couples can easily get around using public transport, taxis or even by hiring a driver for the duration of their stay.

Here are some Morocco travel tips to help you get around on your honeymoon:

Public transport in Morocco is very cheap and easy to use, with buses and trains connecting all major cities and towns. And if you’re planning to travel between cities, we recommend taking the train or bus rather than flying, as these are much cheaper options.

  • ONCF is the Moroccan national railway company, and you can easily check and purchase tickets online in advance.
  • CTM is Morocco’s national bus company, and offers comfortable air-conditioned buses between all major cities.

For shorter journeys, taxis are a great option and are very reasonably priced. You can either flag one down on the street, or book one in advance using a taxi app like Careem or Uber.

Adventurous honeymooners may want to consider renting a car and driving around Morocco. This is a great option if you want the freedom to explore at your own pace. Just be aware that driving in Morocco’s big cities can be a little chaotic, with many drivers not following the rules of the road!

If you do decide to rent a car, we recommend renting from a reputable company like Avis or Hertz.

Hiring a car and driver for the duration of your honeymoon stay is by far the easiest way to get around Morocco. It will also save you from having to navigate Morocco’s often confusing roads.

You will also have the the flexibility to stop and explore along the way while enjoying a relaxed honeymoon in Morocco.
