The most essential tool for blogging these days is a good and affordable camera. With so many options on the market, finding the best blogging camera can be quite tricky. As a beginner, the many different high-tech features that cameras have can be confusing.
In this article, I’ve teamed up with experienced bloggers and vloggers from around the globe to bring you a list of the best blogging and vlogging cameras on the market.

You can’t have a list of the best travel blogging cameras without mentioning the GoPro Hero7. The GoPro Hero7 is the best and most versatile blogging camera for globetrotters and wanderlust seekers.
What makes GoPro great is that it can be used by kids or adults for activities such as skateboarding, bike rides, vlogging, pictures, and water activities. You can do anything with a GoPro and have amazing photos and videos to show off your adventures.
As if that wasn’t enough, voice controls allow you to take a photo or start recording hands-free. Although this isn’t the latest model, it has everything you need for an adventure around the world or in your backyard.

DJI Osmo Action
If you’re looking for the best blogging camera to capture your travel journeys and adventures, the DJI Osmo Action is a great choice. The Osmo Action is the biggest rival of GoPro for capturing the adventure and has many of the same features as well as a couple of great extras.
The Osmo Action screen has a great hyper-responsive display, but the front-facing full-color screen is a game-changer. Also, with the 4K rugged Osmo Action, you are not limited to adventure on land. Take the Osmo Action with you in the water, as deep as 36 feet with the underwater casing.
And the features of profiles storage allows you to spend less time fussing with the camera and more time capturing those epic blogging photographs you want to remember and share.

Canon-G7X
When traveling, lugging around a camera bag of lenses and a heavy DSLR just doesn’t work for travel bloggers, particularly when backpacking. This is where the Canon G7x Mark II camera comes in as the best camera alternative for blogging purposes.
A compact camera that certainly isn’t compact on features. Canon G7 offers great photo quality with options including manual shooting. This compact camera performs really well for most shooting conditions, meeting the demands of the majority of travelers that desire to use it for blogging.
Another feature travelers and bloggers will love – this camera comes with a digital touch screen with 180-degree tilt so you can flip it to yourself while capturing that holiday selfie!

Sony RX100
The Sony RX100 range of compact travel cameras has been a favorite of those who prefer to travel light. The tiny size, low weight, and the sheer convenience of being able to throw it in a pocket and still use it to get stunning images and videos make it the best camera for blogging.
For many bloggers and vloggers, the RX100 V (or the slightly newer RX100 VA) hit the sweet spot. The zoom lens has an extremely bright 1.8 maximum aperture at wide-angle (2.8 when zoomed in) and, crucially, is the last in the range with an inbuilt ND filter, allowing larger apertures on sunny days or when shooting bright scenes.
The VA model can still be found on major marketplaces for under $1000 (Amazon.com currently $998), while the cost of the slightly earlier V version is substantially less when available.

Canon M50
The Canon M50 is still the best travel blogging and vlogging camera companion for 2022 and here’s why:
The Canon M50 is small and compact – there’s nothing worse than carrying around a big and bulky camera when traveling. Also, for beginner bloggers, this is a starter camera as there are plenty of auto settings to help perfect photos or videos whilst getting to grips with the manual settings.
It has a pull-out screen to help you get into the perfect position. The Canon M50 has a decent built-in camera but you can invest in an external microphone if videography is your main focus. Also, this epic camera is great for vloggers and also for cinematic content, it shoots HD and 4k.
Cons: Needs changeable lenses

The Insta 360 one x2 is one of the best 360-degree cameras available. This camera is able to shoot stunning shots with a 5.7k resolution. It is also waterproof for up to 10m, so you can take great underwater shots.
This camera comes with 4 mics on all four of its edges so it records from all the sides. The Insta 360 also has a feature called flow state stabilization. This feature is used while shooting very shaky footage. It will reduce all these camera shakes and give us smooth videos.

Fujifilm X-T30
Equipped with a more advanced sensor and faster processor, Fujifilm’s X-T30 mirrorless is a powerful blogging camera in a small package. It’s a great camera for photography professionals as well as amateurs looking to up their photography game.
Both will appreciate having full control of the aperture and shutter speed settings with the ability to shoot using either as the priority as well as full manual mode. Old school film photographers that long for the ability to evoke a particular mood or style will love playing with the film simulation modes.
The Fujifilm X-T30 also captures 4K video at 30p. Pair it with one of Fuji’s outstanding lenses to create a robust camera system that’s easy to bring along your travel and blogging adventures.

Sony A6300
The Sony A6300 is, nowadays, more affordable than the newest models of the Sony mirrorless range. Nonetheless, this mirrorless Sony APS-C camera has almost the same features as more recent models, which still makes it one of the best blogging cameras in 2022.
What we love about it is its size, which allows us to pack the camera with a drone and 2 lenses in a small camera bag. Unlike its full-frame counterparts, we don’t have to think twice about bringing it with us. It’s a great backpacking camera that you can have with you at all times because it’s so lightweight and compact.
The Sony A6300’s autofocus gives awesome results while filming, especially with its 35mm 1.8 lens. It also shoots 4K and slow-mo at 100ips. While it’s not the most advanced camera in the market these days, the Sony A6300 is one of the best blogging cameras in 2022 for its price, features, and easily packable capacities.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III
There’s a reason why so many travel bloggers, landscape photographers, and visionaries are turning to Olympus. If you could sum up the ethos of the Olympus digital camera brand in one sentence it would be stylish, impeccable image quality, and compact design.

Nikon D750
The Nikon D750 is a mid-range professional full-frame camera and the preferred gear to many avid photographers and bloggers. This is in part thanks to the extraordinary crispness of the images, the very reliable focus, and the vibrant colors it captures.
While it is true that the Nikon D750 is considerably larger than a simple point-and-shoot camera, the body of the camera comes in at a respectable 755g, making it the lightest of the Nikon pro-range and also lighter in comparison to similar Canon models.
The Nikon D750 is perfect for wildlife photography, landscape photography, and for portrait photography (widely used by some of the industry’s leading travel bloggers). Compared to other models in the same price range as the Nikon, the D750 does exceptionally well in low-light conditions. (great when you go out and explore a city on a cloudy day or when you venture out into the mountains on a camping trip).

A great camera for blogging and travel photography is the Canon EOS 2000D. It is a convenient camera to have and it has all you need to shoot some great photos and videos. It has a 24.1 MP sensor and shoots Full HD videos which is great for vlogging. This is much better than the camera on your phone.
Furthermore, you can connect the camera to your smartphone using WiFi and the Canon Camera Connect app. This allows you to shoot photos without holding the camera. Also, with this function, you can see the photos directly on your phone, available to be saved or shared on social media.
Canon’s EOS 2000D is one of the cheaper models in the Canon EOS series, which is awesome. You can buy it for less than $400. This makes it a great camera for beginner bloggers and vloggers. For a small price, you are still able to shoot wonderful photos of high quality.
Later, when you want to up your game, you can switch out the standard lens for a better one. There is a large range of lenses that fit the system. These lenses fit on each EOS Canon model, so you can use them on any other Canon EOS camera body. This is great as you may buy another camera body later.

Sony A7III
The Sony A7III is a fantastic blogging and vlogging camera. It has an excellent full-frame sensor and it’s mirrorless which allows the body to be lighter and smaller making it the ideal professional camera for photographers and videographers.
It’s also great for low-light capabilities if you want to shoot at Blue Hour or do astrophotography. Because the A7III also has very good video specs, it’s ideal for both photos and videos. This allows bloggers to optimize and create content through both mediums.
The camera also allows interchangeable lenses which give you the flexibility to create the image you want. From changing out the lens to get more of a wide-angle shot to capturing far-away details.

The Pentax K1000 is a versatile and dependable film camera for bloggers. It’s sturdy, built to last, and can take a few bumps in your backpack when traveling with it. It is also fully mechanical, which means you don’t have to worry about forgetting to pack any extra batteries for it in your suitcase!
This is an excellent blogging camera for those who don’t mind waiting for photos and are really into a nostalgic aesthetic and vintage-looking image. For travel bloggers, bringing a film camera on your travels often forces you to slow down, soak at the moment, and spend time composing your shot.
Pentax K1000 is one of the best film cameras for beginners to try. However, Pentax does not produce these cameras brand new anymore (they were produced from 1976 to 1997) but they are easy to find and buy off of places like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy.
